As mentioned, I've been fairly busy exploring a new fandom, and my experiences thus far have been interesting food for thought.

In general, I've never been much of a slasher. At least, not in HP fandom. But I'm not sure that won't change. The canon centres around the interaction of the protagonist and antagonist-both incredibly fascinating characters. And both male. That, plus the effects of a few years in fandom makes me strongly inclined to start looking for slash.

But almost immediately I realized the problem-how in the world am I going to avoid having to sort through overly fluffy badfic? Well, I thought to myself, the solution is to start looking at recs pages. Unfortunately, that didn't really work. The trouble is that I can't find any recs whatsoever. Communities like crack_van proved useless. After a bit of poking around, I found a recs journal that seemed promising-until I noticed it hadn't been updated since last fall.

So the call goes out: Does anyone know of any really good multifandom recs pages?

What is the fandom? Bright Shiny Objects has covered a lot of fandoms over the last couple of years. There are five or six reccers (I've forgotten, which is embarrassing, since I'm one of them), and we have pretty diverse tastes.
